SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it's alarmed about the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely here functional office committed to service the area regularly. The services position made for intervention ordeals a high inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all consumers and increase usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
